Doga Ebrisim was born in 18.03.1986 in Ankara. His interest in
music began in his early childhood. When he was 7, he was
accepted at The National Conservatoire of Istanbul University,
piano department as a part time student, and he studied piano
with Sibel Atol. In 1996, he moved back to Ankara from Istanbul,
and started to study piano with Sezi Seskir for one year.
3 years later, he successfully passed the entrance
examination of Ankara Anatolian High School of Fine Arts,
ranking 2nd in the exam. He studied piano with Serpil
Özyüksel, ear training & introduction to harmony with Günes
Apaydin and Selçuk Bilgin, trumpet with Mutlu Özer there. As a
trumpeter, he played in many youth orchestras.
As a pianist, he received the Diploma of Associated Board of the
Royal Schools of Music exams with Distinction Award by passing
the exams successfully (2nd Grade in 2002, 5th Grade in 2003 and
8th Grade in 2005). He gave his first piano recital in Mansur
Özen Concert Hall in Ankara in 2005.
His own work "Yasak (Forbidden)" was played in International BIM
Music Festival Poland 2002 in Bydgoscz by Abstré Festival
Orchestra, and later in Kemal Kürdas Concert Hall in Ankara by
The METU Symphonic Orchestra. A number of his own works are
played in Mansur Özen Concert Hall, Gazi University Concert
Hall, MEB Sura Concert Hall and others.
Ebrisim is also interested in composing with computer support.
He won the 3rd prize in Halici MIDI 2005, Music with Computer
Support Contest. He collected his works with computer support in
an album "Moods". Moods contains 12 tunes in it, and all them
are composed, arranged, played and recorded by him.
In 2005, Ebrisim has successfully passed the entrance
examination of the world wide known university Mozarteum
Salzburg, for the composition (ranking 2nd) and
music theory (ranking 1st) departments. He studied
composition with Reinhard Febel, ear training with Günter
Firlinger, music theory with Franz Zaunschirm and electronic
music with André Ruchowski.
His own works was played in many international concert halls in
Salzburg and he gave a Portrait Concert in Rupertinum concert
hall in 2006.
Ebrisim has successfully passed the entrance examinations or Tor
Vergata University of Rome, Musicology department and currently
he continues composing in Italy.
